Happy 4th!!

Here's hoping you and yours are having a wonderfully fabulous Fourth of July! I loved in church this morning when they had each of the branches of the military stand up and be recognized. It just gets me every time...the significance of the sacrifice those men and women made for our country!


It's hard to believe that one year ago, one of my first blog posts was this one...about our fourth of July weekend! Since then, the Langfords have another little one, we have moved, and we both have other jobs. Crazy what can happen in a year!!!!

This 4th of July weekend has been good so far, but I am looking forward to the end of it since we will go pick up Trissy! She has been staying with Grammie and Papaw in Baton Rouge and having all manner of fun and will probably not want to come home. I love that she has such wonderful grandparents who love her and want to spend time with her!

I still cried when we dropped her off though. People that have 2 and 3 kids tell me that feeling goes away eventually ;) Brian and I stayed pretty busy while she's been gone though...had girls day/guys day with the youth, went to a kid's birthday party, worked in the yard cleaning up some more trees, and had a cookout with some friends. NOT TO MENTION....our first movie theater movie since she was born- Toy Story 3!!! It was so so good :) We love pixar movies and this one doesn't disappoint. Also, it was nice to have some "couple time" since we aren't always good about making time for a date night.

The perfect way to round-out our weekend will be reuniting with Tris, swimming with the nieces and nephew, and getting to hang out with the fam in BR!

ps. We have eaten hamburgers for five days in a row. Can you say summer cookout month??
