Sweet Showers

Having another girl has been super easy...we just got out all of Trissy's clothes and washed them and really haven't needed A THING! We are definitely super blessed in that respect.

However, some of our church friends (and other friends too!) have been sweet enough to send little "happies" for AK and have a few little celebrations.

The girls in our student ministry had a little party for us one night, and Tris LOVED it because it involved cupcakes :)

Here's my helper opening the gifts. I swear she thought the party was totally for her instead of for her "sissy."

I of course forgot to take any pictures WITH all of our "big kids" (as Tris calls them)

She racked up in loot though! She got a pink sparkly bracelet, a Cinderella smocked dress (that AK can wear later on) and all the pink frosted cupcakes a little tummy could hold :)

Then the staff wives (doesn't that sound like a good reality tv show?) gave us a diaper/wipes shower at the church. MUCH NEEDED!! Can I get an amen on how many diapers one kid can go through?? I am just thankful that Tris is potty-trained (at least for the time being) so that is saving us some moo-lah in that department.

Funny story- the cake originally said "Congratulations Brian and Margie" I think they should have left it. Then I could have made a dramatic scene crying out "Who in the world is Margie????" ha!

My sweet niece Caelen and Michelle's daughter Aubrey helped me open presents. They were very helpful since at this point it really takes me quite awhile to bend over.

Thank you hostesses! (and we missed Lindsey too!)

Ironically enough, I DID remember to get a hostess picture at this one but forgot to get any others of my mom or mother-in-law who came. Go figure!

I am currently 38 weeks and 6 days (yes, I am resorting to counting days :) during the biggest heat wave in the country! Woohoo! Can't wait to meet this little girl and become a family of four. Please continue to pray for a safe and healthy delivery and that my "cankles" stay under control (ok....only slightly kidding about that last part.)
