Spring Break!

Well, my Spring Break has come and gone but Tristyn is currently on "round 2" of her own. She was sick earlier this week and so Honey came to stay on her spring break- consequently Tris has spent the whole week home from school and loved it! (well, not the sick part, poor baby.)

I have been back at the grind of teaching eighth graders, and am now just reminiscing about our Spring Break a few weeks ago. At least I can look forward to summer!!

Over our Spring Break we invaded (I mean, traveled to) college friends' Ashley & Alan's house in Tyler, TX. They are part of a group of friends we called "Baylor group" (we are super creative- no? :) There are four couples who all dated in college and who are now all married! Though we all live in different places now, we love getting to together and meeting up whenever possible. Of course, it is hard for everyone to get there. Lauren was able to come (whose hubby Jeremy couldn't make it) and finally got to meet their adorable little girl Meg!

Isn't she the cutest!!?? Tris had to practice "sharing with the baby" like
she will with little sister :)
We just had fun hanging out, eating yummy food, visiting, shopping, golfing, and of course a trip to the church playground was in order.
Here's sweet Truett- LOVE those curls!!
Here's Tris and Truett feeding the fish in the big pond. They fed them fruit loops, but I think ended up eating most of the fruit loops themselves :) Ashley & Alan do have another son, Caleb who is almost 4, but he was doing "big boy" stuff....or either moved too fast for me to get any pictures!
We loved our time in Texas and it is so fun to be with friends! We don't get to see them very often, but anytime we do it is just like old times and we can all talk for days! We are so thankful for how many great friends the Lord has given us.

When we got home, the flowers were blooming and we had to take some pics in the yard.
This is our "cheese" face.
Trying to take a serious pose touching the azaleas :)

We are constantly reminded this time of year of the beauty God has put all around us!

"Make a joyful noise to the Lord all the earth! Sing to the glory of his name and
give him glorious praise!" - Psalms 66:1

It makes my heart sing to literally "feel" your happiness when I read your blog! I know Honey was delighted to have her sweet grand to herself all week!
